Chinatown in Amsterdam is a must-see, if only for the food! It lies on the eastern side of De Wallen, the Red Light District, thought don't expect any Kamers here- just delicious foods!
My wife is Chinese, so we eat as much Chinese as possible when outside of Israel, which doesn't permit too many non-Jews inside the country.
We also had some great Peking duck while there!
In Chinatown, the streets are even written in Dutch-Chinese- This one means Strooplenoodlestraat:
Also in the neighborhood is the Guang Shan He Hua (Guang Mountain Lotus) Temple, the oldest Chinese Buddhist temple in all of Europe.
But it's not so old actually, just innaugurated in ~2000 or so. Chinese are practicle people, so they don't waste their time building churches.
Buddha was Indian anyways, right?
Now he supports Modhi- Toilets not Temples!
It's also a German temple:
It's quite beautiful there, though mainly for some quick snaps and lunch.
Some cat tax!
